Sinn Féin is to meet this morning to decide its response to Mary Lou McDonald's suspension from the Dáil.

The party's deputy leader is due to serve the second day of a two-day suspension after last Thursday's sit-in.

Ushers have been instructed to stop Deputy McDonald from entering the Dáil chamber if she attempts to enter it today.

However it's believed that Deputy McDonald is not likely to try and cause a repeat of last Thursday's events, when she refused to leave the chamber and business was suspended for four hours.
