The Rehab lottery fundraising scheme earned a profit of just €10,000 in 2010 despite sales of of €4 million.
The figures were revealed in the Dail last night by the Justice Minister Alan Shatter who said charities need to show their fundraising efforts are run efficiently.
His remarks come amid disquiet over the refusal of Rehab boss Angela Kerins to reveal her pay. The group last night rejected the claims that profit margins are very low and called on the minister to withdraw and apologise.
