A black British woman says she was shocked and horrified at the level of racist abuse she's been subjected to since taking over the @Ireland twitter account.
Michelle Marie began tweeting from the account on Monday describing herself as a mother, blogger, and plus size model.
She's originally from Oxford and has been living here since 2013 and in her first post wrote that Ireland has her heart.
But only hours later she was forced to defend herself from hundreds of trolls.

The @ireland account was opened in 2012 and is curated by a different person every week and has around 40,000 followers.
Speaking to Anton Savage earlier Michelle said she has never experienced prejudice like it but that she won't be letting the trolls get her down:
The vast majority of the racist abuse has come from outside Ireland.
That's according to the organiser of the account, Darragh Doyle.
