Shots were fired at two different homes in a housing estate in Co Meath last night.

Gardai say gunshots were allegedly fired at the two houses in Woodview Heights in Dunboyne around 11.30 last night.

No one was injured.

Meanwhile, a short time later a fire was reported at a house in Co Kildare.

Two people were taken from the house in Broadford and arrested by Gardai.

It's not yet known if there's a link between the incidents.
