The Dublin Simon Community has said the homeless crisis is a humanitarian issue in need of urgent action.

The group launched its annual review today which found the number of children in emergency accommodation in Dublin alone is up 99% since last year.

A rough head count by the organisation between 6am and 7am this morning- found 120 sleeping rough in Dublin city centre.
