Sinead O'Connor has cancelled her summer tour due to illness.
In a statement, Sinead's management said she is suffering from exhaustion due to an existing, unresolved medical situation.
The singer's apologised to her fans but she says her doctor's told her to take a complete rest.
Sinead was due to play a headline gig at Galway International Arts Festival on Thursday.
The promoters say support act John Grant will now headline the concert and refunds will be available. Sharon Shannon has been added to the bill.
Full statement issued by Sinead O'Connor's agent: “Sinéad O'Connor apologises profusely to her fans but she cannot travel this summer anymore. She is suffering from exhaustion due to an existing not resolved medical situation and she has been advised by the doctor to stop any activity and rest. Because of this she is completely unable to travel and to perform.”
