Sinn Fein has not yet decided whether it will bring a motion of "No-Confidence" in the Ceann Comhairle of the Dail.

Fianna Fáil has said it will have no confidence in Sean Barrett unless he withdraws claims that the opposition are trying to undermine him.

Opposition parties criticised him for cancelling a Dail debate earlier this week.

Mr Barrett said he had no option but to cancel a debate on a Commission of Inquiry on Garda malpractice, because it might overlap with a High Court case being taken by Alan Shatter.
