Staff at Irish Rail are a step closer to industrial action - after voting to reject pay cuts.
SIPTU members at the company narrowly voted 53 to 47 per cent against the Labour Court recommendations - which would see temporary cuts phased in over a 25 month period.
Irish Rail says it regrets the result of the ballot - and says savings are essential.
But SIPTU Organiser Paul Cullen says pay reductions should be taken off the table.
