In Scotland, six people have been killed and eight others are being treated in hospital after a bin lorry veered out of control in central Glasgow.
Scotland's First Minister has described it as a "dark day" for the city.
There's speculation the driver fell ill at the wheel, causing the vehicle to career up to 300 metres along a busy street.
