A 6 year old girl is in a serious condition in hospital following a hit-and-run in Dublin.
The crash happened at the pedestrian crossing on the Malahide Road in Coolock at around 7.45pm yesterday evening.
It's thought the 6 year old was struck by a van, at the pedestrian crossing, on the inbound lane of the Darndale roundabout.
The van, which is described as an old dark coloured van possibly green, failed to remain at the scene and continued driving towards the Dublin city.
The girl was taken to Temple St Hospital where her condition is described as serious.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to the collision, or anyone who may have any information to contact them in Coolock or to phone the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
