The Family Courts in Smithfield, Dublin have reopened after a man claimed to have a device and a fake gun.
He was arrested after entering a courtroom this morning.
Gardaí were called to the Family Law Courthouse in Smithfield at around 11.30 this morning following reports that a man armed with a firearm and a suspect device had entered the building.
The courthouse was evacuated and the Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal team was called in.
The man was arrested and taken to the Bridewell Garda station for questioning.
The firearm is now thought to have been an imitation gun, and the suspect device is being examined by bomb disposal experts.

The area has since reopened and the cordon around parts of Smithfield has been removed.
The Red Luas Line - which was severely disrupted earlier - has started running again in the area, but with some delays.
