The son of Sinn Féin TD Aengus O'Snodaigh remains in a serious condition in hospital following a stabbing incident at his home in Dublin.
Emergency services were called to his house on the Old Naas Road in Bluebell, Dublin in the early hours of this morning, where they treated his son for stab wounds.
Fearghal O'Snodaigh, aged 18, was taken by ambulance to St. James Hospital.
It's understood the victim knew the man who stabbed him. He is now at large and Gardaí are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact them at Kilmainham Garda station 01-6669700 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
The Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams has sent his best wishes to party colleague Aengus O'Snodaigh and his family.
Gerry Adams says the party is thinking of Fearghal and wishes him a speedy recovery.
