US space agency NASA has identified three asteroids which it would like to capture for an experiment.
Scientists say the plan is to send a robotic spacecraft to drag an asteroid into orbit around the moon.
NASA then plans to take samples from the asteroid for further study here on earth.
However the two billion dollar project may not happen until the year 2017.
