Specialist Team To Investigate Crash Landing At Belfast International Airport

One passenger's been taken to hospital after a Flybe plane crash-landed at Belfast International Airport.

It landed with its nose on the ground after reporting problems with its landing gear.

The plane had taken off from nearby Belfast City airport bound for Inverness, before circling for around two hours to burn off fuel.

There were 52 passengers plus one infant on board and four crew members, one person sustained a minor hand injury during the incident.

The airline say they are sending a specialist team to Belfast to investigate the cause of the incident.

Brian Strutton is from the British Airline Pilots' Association and praised the pilots for getting the aircraft down safely:
