Nurses and support staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda in County Louth, are to be balloted for industrial action.

SIPTU says there are a number of ongoing disputes between its members and management at the hospital.

The Union says this includes the filling of vacant posts, the use of contractors and the removal of shift pay from some support grades.
