Irish people work 90 hours more per year than the EU average.

A new report from the Dublin-based EU agency EUROFOUND shows that we put in longer hours - which works out at almost 2 hours more a week.

Irish workers get around 20 days holidays compared to 25.7 days for those who work in the first 15 EU member states.

These people have mixed feelings about the work place:

A separate survey from the UK shows the average worker spends two weeks a year moaning!

The top causes for complaint are IT, air con and printers.

People also whine about pointless meetings, all staff emails and uncomfortable chairs.

Commuting problems, colleagues pulling sickies and phone calls at the end of the day are also on the list of things that annoy workers.
