Disney is to host a special preview of the new Star Wars movie later this month.
Lucas films says the showing is a 'thank you' for allowing them to use Skellig Michael for some scenes.
The decision was welcomed by Minister for Arts and Heritage Heather Humphreys earlier today.
Humphrey's said the film "will help to showcase the unique natural and built heritage of Skellig Michael and bring it to an unrivaled global audience".
The Force Awakens will be shown on December 17th at Killarney Cineplex.
