Tourism Ireland is aiming to jump on the bandwagon of the new Star Wars film – due out next month, by using it to boost our visitor numbers.

The body is aiming for another record year in 2016, by welcoming 8.2 million visitors to the country.
The hugely anticipated Star Wars Episode 7 ‘The Force Awakens’ is due out in just three weeks on the 18th of December.
Given it was partly shot on Skellig Michael in Co Kerry, the CEO of Tourism Ireland, Niall Gibbons says a major visitor campaign to show case Ireland will be launched just after the film comes out
