13 counties in the region will remain under a Status Yellow warning until an hour later at 9am.
Rain and flooding risks will continue through the day, and conditions could worsen as the system develops.

This morning, the National Directorate for Fire & Emergency Management met with local authorities and government departments to plan for the extreme weather.
It’s warning people to prepare for flooding, even if their county is not currently subject to an advisory.
It's advising passengers to take care on the roads, and to get to the airport in plenty of time for their for their flight, and to check the status of it, in the event of possible changes through the day.
Up to 40mm of rain is expected to fall in East Cork with 30mm expected across the rest of the county.
