Status Quo guitarist Rick Parfitt has died from a severe infection.
The 68-year-old's manager and fellow band members confirmed he passed away in Spain at lunchtime after being taken into hospital on Thursday.
He'd been suffering complications with a pre-existing shoulder injury.
His death comes months after he suffered a heart attack.
His son, Rick Parfitt Junior has paid tribute on social media, saying: 'to many he was a rockstar, to me he was simply 'Dad'.
Music promoter Nick Stewart says he'll be remembered fondly:
Queen's Brian May has paid tribute, saying he's "shocked and sad' and that he 'truly joyfully rocked our world'.
@StatusQuoStart Sad beyond words that Rick has gone. Sincere condolences to all his family and to you Francis and all his pals. Bri
