A status yellow weather warning is in effect this morning.
Many parts of the country were hit by heavy rain and high winds overnight - with Cork and Kerry the worst affected.
It comes as the Junior Minister at the Office of Public Works Simon Harris will visit a number of towns that have been badly hit by flooding.
He'll visit Ballinasloe and Crossmolina, and meet with local businesses and residents whose homes and properties were destroyed.
