Around 5,000 homes and businesses are without power this morning following Storm Gertrude.

High winds and heavy rain hit many parts of the country overnight, with gusts of up to 130kmph.

The North, West and East coasts are the worst affected, although no severe damage has been reported so far.

Met Éireann has two weather warnings in effect until around 9 o'clock this morning.
