Stormy weather conditions are set to affect most parts of the country over the next 24 hours.
Met Eireann has issued a nationwide status orange weather alert - with the worst expected in coastal counties.
Very strong winds are set to reach speeds up to 80 kilometres per hour - with gusts up to 130 kilometres per hour.
There will also be showers of hail, sleet and snow - with icy conditions on some roads.
