It's day three of the Leaving and Junior Cert exams with students set to sit the geography paper first off this morning.

Pupils will take maths paper one this afternoon with the second maths paper on Monday.

Over one-third students have indicated they will sit the higher level maths paper later today.

The Minister for Research and Innovation, Sean Sherlock, says the rise in the number of students taking the honours exam is good news.
