Kevin Myers will not write for the Sunday Times again after his controversial article about the gender pay gap.
The journalist was accused of anti-semitism after suggesting two BBC presenters are well paid because they are Jewish.
The article - mentioning Claudia Winkleman and Vanessa Feltz was quickly removed from the internet.
The newspaper faced major backlash after the piece, whose headline read "Sorry ladies - equal pay has to be earned".
He also argued men get paid more for a number of reasons, including working harder and being more driven.
The Irish Sunday Times editor - Frank Fitzgibbon - has issued a full apology saying his paper "abhors anti-semitism".
