Support for the two groups in government has fallen slightly over the summer, according to a new opinion poll.
The Red C poll for the Sunday Business Post also shows a slight drop in support for Fianna Fail.
Usually the quiet summer period is reflected in rising support for the parties in government.
But the first Red C poll of the new term, for tomorrow's Sunday Business Post, shows the opposite.
Fine Gael support falls one point to 25, while the Independent Alliance also drop one point to 4 per cent.
Fianna Fail, which is supporting the government from outside, also falls 2 points but remains teh most popular party on 27 per cent.
Sinn Fein gain 2 points to 15, Labour are up 1 to 7, while independents are on 10, up 3.
The Triple-A-PBP is on 6, with the Social Democrats on 4 and the Greens on 2.
