The latest political opinion poll shows support for Independents has surged.

The Red C survey for the Sunday Business Post shows Fine Gael losing three points and now stands at 25%.

Fianna Fáil's down two to 18 - level with Sinn Féin - while Independents now have 25% with Labour at eight.

The survey was taken between Monday and Wednesday of this week.
