Airline officials say a suspicious device found on an Air France plane earlier today was a false alarm.

The device was found in a toilet of the Boeing 777 during the flight from Mauritius to Paris.

The pilot diverted to Moi airport in the Kenyan city of Mombasa for an emergency landing.

459 passengers and 14 crew were safely evacuated.

The airport was shut for a time, but has since reopened.
