In Greece, the leader of the left-wing Syriza Party has declared his general election win as a 'great victory of the people'.

Alexis Tsipras will now resume governing in an coalition with the centre-right, Independent Greeks party after closest rival - the conservative New Democracy party - conceded defeat.

Syriza won 145 seats altogether - just 4 shy of January's general election - giving him the mandate he needs to implement the 3rd Greek bailout worth more than 85 billion euro.

Tsipras says Greeks face 'difficulties ahead', and recovery would only come through 'hard work'.
