Management and unions at Irish Rail will meet again this morning to try and avert a second day of strike action tomorrow.
Drivers are threatening to stop working for three hours during rush hour in a row over pay and productivity.
Talks adjourned last night without agreement.
Tens of thousands of rail passengers were disrupted when drivers went on strike last month.
Both sides will resume their talks at 10:30 this morning
