A split has emerged in the coalition about whether the next government should consider laws allowing a so-called 'right to die'.
Joan Burton says the issue should be referred to a constitutional convention, with an expert forum being set up to offer clear medical and legal advice.
However, Enda Kenny says he believes the issue needs a referendum, and he has no interest in holding one.
He says it's not something that should be examined by a new forum, alongside the issue of abortion:
