Enda Kenny's come under attack from the Fianna Fáil leader Micheal Martin over his limited visits to areas affected by flooding.

Fianna Fáil claims that when the Taoiseach visited Athlone, the only flood victims he met were those who were Fine Gael supporters.

Michael Martin also claims Enda Kenny should have travelled more widely instead of spending most of the period within Mayo.

But the Fianna Fáíl leader himself then admitted he hadn't visited flooded areas outside of his own native Cork:

Meanwhile - Met Eireann has warned of more flash flooding on roads in the North East of the country tonight as heavy rain is forecast.

A band of rain is currently moving from the South West of the country is is likely to fall mostly over Cavan, Monaghan, Louth and Meath.

Many parts of the country remain on high alert for flooding with hundreds of acres of land underwater.

Also - the ESB are warning customers of the danger of electricity around water in flooded areas.
