Enda Kenny has put paid to the prospect of an early general election - by outlining a series of events that have to happen first.
The Taoiseach says there are 14 bills still to publish - and his plans for the IBRC inquiry will also be released first.
It means it will be early February at the earliest before the campaign officially gets underway.
