Enda Kenny has admitted he's guilty of telling the country about a phone call that never actually happened.
He conceded in the Dail today that a version of events he gave in a radio interview last Sunday, never happened at all.
On Sunday the Taoiseach said he'd had a phone call with Katherine Zappone, who informed him that she was meeting Maurice McCabe, about unstated matters.
Kenny said he'd told her to take thorough records of the meeting - but Katherine Zappone yesterday said she hadn't rang him at all, and had only communicated with officials.
Today in the Dail the Taoiseach offered a "mea culpa" and said he had misremembered the details of the call.
