TD Joan Collins has been arrested following a protest against water charges.
The United Left TD has confirmed she was among 15 people arrested at a demonstration against the installation of water meters this morning.
The arrests are understood to have taken place in the Parnell Road area in Crumlin at around 9am this morning.
Collins' party colleague, Councillor Pat Dunne, was also among those arrested
The Dublin South-Central TD said she had been arrested for the alleged breach of public order laws.
Footage has emerged on Facebook of some of the events that proceeded the arrests.
Gardaí have confirmed that "in excess of 11" people were arrested this morning in the area, but that all had since been released.
