Schools will reopen after Easter Week despite any industrial action by teachers over removing their vaccine priority, according to the TUI.

A joint motion on industrial action will be debated at the ASTI, TUI, and INTO annual conferences, which start today.

Teachers had expected to be among the first third of the population to get a dose until last week until the advice from the National Immunisation Advisory Committee changed

Martin Marjoram, president of the TUI, says teachers will have to be back at work to vote on the action.

'There's a lengthy process involved in balloting for industrial action so we will be back in the most crowded classrooms in the most crowded schools in Europe'.
