A teenager is receiving treatment in hospital following a New Year's day stabbing incident.

The 19 year old suffered minor injuries in the attack at Llewellyn Grove in Ballinteer - Dublin 16 at about ten to three yesterday morning.

No one has been arrested in relation to what happened and Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.

The young man is understood to be in a stable condition in hospital.
