A 15 year old boy is fighting for his life in hospital this evening after he fell from his horse in Co. Cork.
At around 6pm emergency services were called to the scene after the boy, who was with his friends at the time of the incident, fell from his horse and into a river in an area close to John O'Callaghan Park in Riverstone in Glanmire.
A rescue team carried an extensive search of the river.
The boy was found and he was taken directly to Cork Univeristy Hospital.
