A 16 year old girl has died in a fatal road traffic collision at Stillorgan in Dublin.
The teenager was struck by a car while attempting to cross the N11 Stillorgan Dual Carriageway.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was removed to nearby St. Vincent's Hospital.
The southbound carriageway on the N11 has now reopened.
A full post mortem is to take place today and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Blackrock Garda Station.
