Gardaí in Galway are investigating a number of violent incidents in the city centre overnight.
At 2:15am, a 38-yr-old man told officers he'd been threatened by a man with a knife on the Headford road,
Gardai then received a call that two men in their 20's had their wallets and mobile phones stolen as they were threatened at knife point - that incident also occurred on the corner of Headford Road.
The suspect left in the direction of Wood Quay.
Emergency services were then made aware that an 18-year-old man had been stabbed in the stomach at 2:30am on Wood Quay - the teenager was taken to University College Hospital Galway where his condition is described as non life threatening.
Gardai were given a description by a number of witnesses and a 17-yr-old boy fitting that description was arrested at 3am in Eyre Square - he's being held at Galway Garda station.
Detectives are appealing for anyone with information to contact the station where an incident room has been set up.
