A teenager's died in hospital following a crash in Mayo.
The 18 year old woman was walking on the Castlebar to Claremorris Road -the N60 - at about 5 o'clock yesterday evening when she was hit by a car.
The 83 year old driver and a young male passenger were taken to hospital as a precaution, but are not believed to have been injured.
The road was closed for an examination but has since since reopened.
Gardai are appealing for any witnesses.
