A 18-year-old man has died in a road crash in Leitrim.

The crash happened at Lissacairn near Ballinamore at about 7 o'clock yesterday evening.

The victim - who was driving one of the cars - was taken to Enniskillen Hospital, where he was pronounced dead in the early hours of this morning.

Two women who were in the second car have since been released from hospital.

The road remains closed this morning for a technical examination.
