The Arnotts Group has been purchased by Fitzwilliam Finance Partners.
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission has given the green light to the deal today.
In a statement this evening Fitzwilliam Finance Partners says it's their core objective to maintain the iconic brand of Arnotts.
While acknowledging the development - Arnotts says it will not comment on it - this evening.
