Gardai in Bruff are investigating the discovery of a body of a woman in her early 50's at the rear of a house, at Ballygibba, Kilmallock, Co. Limerick this afternoon at approximately 2:30pm.
The body remains at scene and the scene is currently preserved and the Offices of The State Pathologist have been contacted.
The area remains sealed off to facilitate a forensic examination of the scene.
