The DUP says it will take the best interests of Northern Ireland into consideration before making decisions on remaining in the Northern Executive.
The party is due to meet British Prime Minister David Cameron in coming days to discuss the PSNI assessment that the provisional IRA is still in existence.
Yesterday, the UUP said it would withdraw from the executive, after Sinn Fein insisted the provisionals no longer existed.
