The government's set to announce the 'end of austerity' as Budget 2015 is finally revealed today.

Michael Noonan and Brendan Howlin will announce a series of tax cuts to be delivered over three years, as well as
confirming there'll be no more cuts to government spending.

Many of the big details have already been leaked - but nonetheless the government will be keen to draw a line under the financial crisis when those details are officially announced in Dáil Éireann this afternoon.

Ministers Noonan and Howlin will tell the country that there'll be no more cuts to public spending, now that the
Troika are out of town, and that there's now enough money in the public purse to allow some cuts to the Universal Social
Charge, and to income taxes for middle-income workers.

We can also expect extra money for the running of the health system, for the recruitment of 1,000 new teachers, and for
the potential return of the Christmas bonus: a double payment for the country's old-age pensioners.

Just before the Budget, the Dáil will be introduced to its two newest members - Paul Murphy from the Anti-Austerity
Alliance, and the independent Michael Fitzmaurice.

Both were elected on anti-austerity tickets - but the government will be keen to prove to them, and everyone else, that
the era of austerity is now truly over.
