The families of a Northern Irish couple who drowned in South Africa say they're devastated.

John and Lynette Rodgers got married just over one week ago and were on honeymoon at the time of their deaths.

In a statement this evening the Reilly and Rodgers families from Holywood in county Down - say the couple were dearly loved and brought them great joy.

John and Lynette are believed to have gotten into difficulty while swimming at Plettenberg Bay on Friday evening.
