Niall Horan has become the first Irish person to have 30 million followers on Twitter.

The One Direction star is well ahead of MMA star Conor McGregor on 4.1 million and Rory McIlroy on 3.1 million followers.

The social media site says Niall has more followers than all other members of the top 10 Irish based Twitter accounts combined.
