The Minister for Justice is investigating fresh claims of Garda misconduct.

Frances Fitzgerald has been handed almost 30 affidavits and other documentation.

They had originally been sent to the Taoiseach who has since passed them on to the Justice Minister.

The Tanaiste Eamon Gilmore says that Minister Fitzgerald intends to investigate these latest allegations quickly and promptly.
