The number of children sleeping in hostels is on the increase - with sixty more children made homeless in the last few weeks.
According to new figures released by the Dublin Region Homeless Executive the number of children sleeping in hotels, hostels and other emergency accommodation in Dublin has increased from 680 in October to 741 in November.
The latest figures have been revealed just days after the Government unveiled plans to build 35-thousand new social-housing units with a new housing-assistance payment to be made available to 75-thousand households over the next six years.
